"A landscape photograph is but a momentary glance into the ever-changing beauty of God's creation." - David James
About the Photographer

I have been taking pictures since my high-school days in the 1970's. I have developed a passion for it over the years, and have explored several different types of photography. I have photographed people, weddings, nature, events, and various other subject matter. However, in recent years I have settled on nature, landscapes, and architectural detail as the main focus for my artwork.
I am always trying to learn new things about photography, whether through reading articles and books, or by experimenting and trying out new ideas and techniques. I have also taken formal training including the Professional Photography Course and Digital Fundamentals Course from the New York Institute of Photography, and various seminars such as the Nikon School (several times), and Logan Matting and Framing classes.
I find that being out in nature gives me the inspiration and motivation to seek out unique and pleasing perspectives. I strive to reproduce what I see as accurately as I can. I give thanks to God, not only for giving me the gift of being able to capture beautiful scenes with my camera, but also for giving me such a wonderful, awesome studio in which to work -- His creation.
One of the joys of photography is setting out to photograph an idea in your mind, and discovering how much more is out there that you weren't expecting. Many of my best shots came from happening upon a scene or subject, and I had the good sense to capture it.
Take a look at my gallery. I hope you enjoy my work as much as I have enjoyed creating it. Thanks.
